Elephant Hump, Malawi, Africa Can you make out the elephant with your imagination? It is all there down to the tail!

Here is the most common way of hauling wood from the forest to town in Malawi to either sell or us as firewood. Most is sold--as this would be the family's income.

Butcher Shop in Zimbabwe Everywhere I went in the African Bush these butcher shops were in every little bush community. When you get to the big cities it is different sort of. In the tourist parts of the cities it is all nice and pretty grocery stores. In the not so pretty parts of the cites, 75% of the city, the meat markets pretty much resort to daily kill on a hook in the sun

Victoria Falls is one of the Great Wonders of the world. Almost 10 miles
long and a drop of 1500 meters makes it unreal! That's why it is one of
the Wonders of the World ! Victoria Falls in Southern Zambia and
The Drop in Victoria Falls were both photographed in the dry season,
April to November. Victoria Falls at its Highest Volume
was taken about in the same
spot as my prize winning
Victoria Falls in Southern Zambia
only during the rainy
season, December to March--when it rains just about every day at least
a little bit. The crops get going that were planted during the dry season,
October and November, and left for water to come. At its highest volume, 5
million gallons per second fall!!! This was late February of 2008 when
Patty and I where there vs August 2007 when the other shots of the Falls
were taken.
Typical African Bush Community: Living on south wind and rabbit tracks these proud people with still wear a Suit Coat and sometimes a tie if they own one. The building behind is the local Feed Mill and Store!! I was in shorts and a tee shirt as it was well over 100 and the people that live there like I said are in coats and long sleeves'. Imagine the transition when they come to the USA in the Winter. If any body wants to see more, or anything in particular anything particular about Africa I am sure I have photographed it. Let me know what is your main area of interest is! I have been from Nigeria in the North to Zambia in the south. Ricky |
